The annual Beginning Teacher Induction Symposium will be held at WCU on July 30-31 with the theme of “Preparing Innovative and Effective Teachers for Student Success”. This conference brings beginning teachers across the western region of North Carolina to sessions that will assist them with their first year of teaching and provides opportunities for networking with their peers. Sessions will include topics such as classroom management, content literacy, differentiated instruction, and the new Common Core and Essential Standards.
