LEAD students support opening of emergency shelter

HCESWCU LEAD students were recently involved in the grand opening of the Haywood Pathways Center’s Haywood Christian Emergency Shelter. The shelter will serve both men (14 bed) and women (10 bed) who are in need of emergency shelter. WCU’s student group, “Rock Your Socks Off” collected socks in the community to donate to the shelter and completed the finishing touches of preparing the shelter for its opening. The LEAD Minor which is located in the Department of Human Services is directed by Mike Corelli a graduate of the WCU’s College Student Personnel Master’s Degree Program.
