Educational Leadership Faculty Publish Chapter on Disquisition Model

Disquisition BookRobert Crow, Kofi Lomotey, and Kathleen Topolka-Jorissen, faculty in Educational Leadership, have published a chapter in the book Contemporary Approaches to Dissertation Development and Research Methods titled “An adaptive model for a rigorous professional practice doctorate: The disquisition.” The chapter is the first published description of a model for using improvement science in a professional practice doctoral program. Candidates in WCU’s Ed.D. program are required to lead an organizational level improvement initiative and document the process, findings, impact, and their resulting theory of improvement in their disquisitions.
