CEAP Faculty Win Grant To Develop “Responsiveness to Instruction” Model

David Strahan, the Taft B. Botner Distinguished Professor of Elementary and Middle Grades Education at WCU, has won a $300,000 grant from N.C. Quest to partner with Transylvania County Schools. The grant is to develop a “responsiveness to instruction” model that will identify individual students’ needs and tailored interventions for those needs. A team of faculty will support this effort, including Axelle Faughn from mathematics, Jessica Cunningham and Bianca Montrosse from psychology, and Tommy Hodges, Nancy Luke, Carrie Rogers, and Roya Scales from the school of teaching and learning.
